This week has been AMAZING! Can I tell you, working at ESPN has to be the best job for me ever! I started working there a few days ago, the first day I got to see the Michigan lacrosse team practice. The second day I got to meet the head Michigan lacrosse coach and a few of the players. I got to see the Braves getting their pictures taken, and meet a few of the players. The people there are so extremely nice. But today this day was the best day anyone could have. To start off the day, I met a braves coach, I asked him to make a dea. I said," you can use our microwave(because he needed one) if he introduced me to Mike Minor. Well he said sure why not?! So i got to talk to Mike Minor for about 15 min, he introduced me to a few of the players and talked about normal converstation things....I still can't believe it. Later in the day, we passed him and a few of his team mates, and he yelled over and said, "hey charlie!" right in front of his teammates and me in front of my coworkers. It was such an amazing freak out moment. and you think it couldnt get any better. I was being taken on a private tour under the baseball staduim, we were in the tunnels, we were standing in front of the locker room. A player came out, and then right after him it was MIke again. Smiles and names were said again...but we both had a good smirk/chuckle...such a great time. then along with the tour, we got to stand and check out the visitors locker room where the Tigers will be staying tomorrow. I also got to go to the dugout for the Tigers, and look out to the field to see where the players come out. the real kicker was I got to drink out of the water fountian out of the dougout where all the visiting teams drink out of. I though it was pretty legit day! the training went alright, but the perks through out the day were amazing. so right before it was time to leave. i meet this man, he is the head broadcaster of many stations, and all of what is going on at every live game at ESPN WWOS (wide world of sports). We talked, and he said he would come get me, show me the ropes, let me follow, and be with them for a whole live game. and see if this is really what i truly want to do. WOW is all i can say. he was so nice, and wanting to help. it made me laugh first thing he asked me was," im sorry, is a laughing state, why would u wanna be a broadcaster?!"...my answer," im obessed with sports and LOVE to talk." welp that would do it he said, and sounds like you have a drive to do it. then we did some work at the front gate, and it was time to go. just a great day at work. it flew, i really hope i am lucky to find a job like this when i have a real job. because this is too nice and so close in everything i want to do. but after work i came home, ate a little, and got in a car with a coworker. went back to ESPN WWOS and watched the MIchigan Softball team play in a tournament. which was pretty cool. they are 2-0 now, and had a game right after. but didnt stay because tomorrow is the first Braves games and i have work at 530am. But starting as the first pitcher im pretty sure its Mike, so sorry Tigers, but I think ill be cheering for the Braves a little harder each time you play them now. ha but off to bed now, but thats the recap of my last few days in disney. also the weather has been amazing! mid 80s and nice breeze, its been nice. (sorry grammar people that read this blog, im dead tired and im not going back to see what is wrong, so next time ill try to check the new one but this one will have errors). but two things to end this off with is....GO BLUE and GO BRAVES!!!
