New York, NY – Today, the 2009 AMF Institute announces vacancies for its Fellowship Program. Submission forms can be completed directly online at the official Atlantic Music Festival website.

Vacancies are available for Piccolo, Flute, Oboe, English Horn, Clarinet, Eb/Bass Clarinet, Bassoon, French Horn, Trumpet, Trombone, Bass Trombone, Tuba, Timpani & Percussion, Violin, Viola, Cello, and Contrabass applicants. Accepted applicants will be featured as resident artists in the 2009 Atlantic Music Festival. The festival provides tuition and $1200 stipend for the duration of the program.
2009 Atlantic Music Festival's distinguished artists include Richard Danielpour, Benjamin Hochman, Jamie Laredo, Sarah Hicks, George Tsontakis, Margo Drakos, Martin Canin, Benjamin Shwartz, Natalya Antonova, Dennis Kim, James Nalley, David Ludwig, and Sharon Robinson.
The deadline to submit for U.S. and International applicants is April 20th, 2009.

Applicants are also encouraged to participate in the 2009 AMF International Competition (which occurs during the festival) The Grand Prize laureate will appear as soloist with the AMF Orchestra and featured in solo recital at Dumbo Space, a new world class theater and recording facility opening in Fall 2010. In addition, the winner will have an opportunity to record an full-length album within Dumbo Space's fully equipped recording space.
