The sound of guitars and pop/country/rock songs emenating from the college choir room isn't what you'd normally expect in a traditional music program.
The LVC chapter of the Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI) met on Sunday, 2/22/09 (they meet monthly).
Songwriters talk about lyrics and melodies and guitars and publishing and whatever else sparks their muses.
A 'round' always takes place when each songwriter plays a song to be critiqued by the other members.
LVC was chosen as one of the first colleges to host a chapter, and anybody is welcome to join.
Students and non-students get together to develop their skills in writing great songs, regardless of genre.
