A quick clarification on the band audition piece. Accidentals only apply to the note IN THE OCTAVE. For example, in the first measure, the last note is D natural. Only second note in the measure is D#.
I looked this up in a theory book once, but I think that it's a modern rule. It seems that not all composers followed it, especially in earlier music. This piece is a modern one, so I believe the rule applies here.
