Driving!

I feel like I could map out the entire state of New Jersey with my eyes closed at this point (see? There's a career opportunity right there. Blindfolded cartographer), THAT'S how much I've been driving lately. Not that it's a bad thing at all, I'm all for driving five to six hours in an air conditioned van and picking up entry boxes at random stores all over the state, while getting burgers and listening to our iPods. Trust me, it beats sitting around in the office sometimes. Well, except for yesterday when the side of the Garden State Parkway was on fire (yes, it was), and we had to sit in traffic for an hour with the air conditioning starting to peter out, but that'll happen. Also, from a business aspect, you get to meet a LOT of business owners in the process who ask you your name, where you work, etc., and it's a great way to really get your name out there, or at least make a few new networking opportunities!

Fun story about yesterday too-

So, we had to go and pick up probably around six boxes, all about forty five minutes from each other(well, mostly), which really isn't so bad considering we had a full tank of gas, food, music and AC. Now, some of the boxes are from a liquor store chain called Max's (can I write about liquor stores?), and the first few are picked up, no problem. The last, however, is not. We pulled into the plaza, and after driving up and down the strip for a good five minutes, Ryan decides to get out and walk down the entire strip and see if he can find it. After a little bit, he comes back, laughing hysterically. The conversation goes something like this.

Ryan- "They're closed."

Me- "Closed? Man, that's kinda weird for a liquor store to be closed at 2:30. Did you knock on the door or try and call or anything?"

Ryan- "No, dude, they're CLOSED, like, totally gone. No sign or anything. I was just here last week, and now the store is completely empty... this is amazing."

*cue hysterical laughing*

And that was pretty much the highlight of my Thursday, also known as the "Hottest day of 2010 so far."

Also, before I go, if you're going to spam my comments box with links to your website or something, either be creative/humorous about it, or don't. Please?
