Archives Presidential Portrait Display

The Presidents of Lebanon Valley College have played a vital role in shaping our school and creating the atmosphere we know and love today. While we all know our current president, President MacDonald, many of us don’t know the presidents of the past. Come check out the portraits of six of LVC’s past presidents. The portraits are now hanging on the wall to the right of the BI Lab, which is located on the lower level of the library.

From left to right, you will find: Rev. Edmund S. Lorenz, President from 1887-1889, Rev. Dr. Lawrence W. Keister, President from 1907-1912, Rev. Dr. George D. Gossard, President from 1912-1932, Dr. Clyde A. Lynch, President from 1932-1950, Dr. Frederick Palmer Sample, President from 1968-1984 (pictured above), and Dr. Arthur L. Peterson, President from 1984-1987.
