Ebrary Academic Complete is the Bishop Library's largest collection of e-books with over 88,000 titles currently available. The Library subscribes to this collection, so the titles included can change as the vendor adds and removes titles on a regular basis. The collection covers a wide range of academic subjects.
You have the ability to search ebrary directly just like any database through the Articles & Database list on the Library's website at www.lvc.edu/library. Just click on the ebrary link to access the database.
Current students, faculty and staff can take advantage of certain ebrary features by signing in with their LVC account. Features include a bookshelf, folders, annotations and more. To sign in to ebrary and access your bookshelf, click on the Sign In link at the top right hand corner of the ebrary search screen and enter your LVC username and password.
As part of our subscription, the campus can save PDF's of pages and/or chapters (page limits vary) as well as download entire e-books for a 14 day loan (up to 10 at a time).
Please see the Library's E-Book LibGuide for further information and instructions. Downloading of complete ebrary e-books is available for most devices, with the exception of Kindle.
Ebrary titles as well as other e-book subscriptions are listed in the Library's online catalog. To access LVC's e-book collection, go to the Library's homepage and choose Books & E-Books under Find.
On a regular basis, ebrary also offers open access collections of e-books on timely topics. The collections can be accessed by anyone for a limited period of time. For a complete list of ebrary open access collections, go to http://www.ebrary.com/corp/oa.jsp.
